Microsoft has green-lit several new shows to premiere through its Xbox Entertainment Studios initiative, including comedies from notable names like Seth Green, Michael Cera, and Sarah Silverman. It also announced a new dramatic series today, based on a hit sci-fi show from Sweden.
GameSpot reports that Silverman and Cera's comedy collective, JASH, is producing a sketch comedy show. Green's will be a stop-motion show from the team behind Robot Chicken.
Microsoft will also be producing Every Street United, a show centered on the World Cup, and and unscripted show called Fearless that follows Australian Navy bomb clearance diver Paul de Gelder as he helps people. This comes alongside the announcement that the company has partnered with UK broadcaster Channel 4 to co-produce the drama Humans. This English-language adaptation of the Swedish series, in which it's fashionable to get a lifelike robotic servant called a "Synth."
Shows are reportedly to start airing in June, though Humans won't be among the initial offerings. It won't begin filming until this summer.
