MMO magpie Sony Online Entertainment has relaunched its 'Station Access' subscription under the new name 'All Access' and knocked $10 off the monthly price. It includes membership to ten SOE games, four of them free-to-play, for only $5 per month more than a single subscription.
An All Access sub will let you play DC Universe Online on PC, EverQuest, EverQuest II, EverQuest Online Adventures for PlayStation 2, PlanetSide, and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes with the single subscription fee.
It also includes premium access to several free-to-play SOE games, with Gold membership for EverQuest II Extended, Captain's Club membership for Pirates of the Burning Sea, and membership for the PC and Mac editions of Free Realms and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures. The only game not included in All Access is Star Wars Galaxies, which will be shut down later this year.
SOE's original Station Access cost $29.99 per month, the price of two regular SOE subscriptions. SOE's newly introduced All Access pass is $10 cheaper, with lower rates for longer commitments. One month will cost you $19.99, while paying for three months knocks the cost down to $17.99 per month, six months are $16.99 each, and a year's subscription costs works out as only $14.99 per month.
An All Access subscription will let you play most of its games without paying a penny, but you'll need to purchase some recent titles and expansion packs. DC Universe Online and Vanguard will need to be bought separately, as will expansions EverQuest: House of Thule and EverQuest II: Destiny of Velious.
Station Access members are automatically transferred to the All Access scheme and will be charged the new price when they're next billed. They'll also retain the bonus character slots offered to Station Access members in several MMORPGs, which are not included with All Access subscriptions.
