Adam Sawkins, a former Criterion developer with Burnout credits under his belt, has released a game that should look pretty familiar to series fans. Titled Truck Stop, the indie project recreates Burnout's rollicking 'Crash Mode' using the Unity engine, with a new wrinkle: instead of a car, you're controlling a big rig.
It's not nearly as pretty as a Burnout game, but that's not surprising from such a small project. The second trailer (via Kotaku) shows off a few modes as stretch goals, since even upon this phase of release it's still a work-in-progress. Namely, the modes are Derailed, in which you aim to take down trains, Mars Attacks, in which you're on the lower-gravity surface of Mars, and Zombieland, which is exactly what it sounds like.
