Soul Sacrifice has been a hit in Japan, and is coming out next Tuesday in the US. Creator Keiji Inafune is already thinking of another game in the series. In a recent interview, Inafune said that he's been talking with Sony about making a second game for Vita, to help spur on Vita sales.
"I'm interested in making other console games for PlayStation, not just for the Vita," Inafune told IGN. "Soul Sacrifice is something I specifically designed for Vita using [the] hardware's specific features. To drive Vita sales even more, I have an idea for a Soul Sacrifice sequel. I'm actually approaching [Sony Computer Entertainment] regarding this project. Let's say the talks are ongoing and I'd love to make it happen."
Soul Sacrifice sold more than 150,000 units in Japan when it came out in early March, which is great for a Vita game in the region. If it repeats that kind of success here in the States, Sony likely wouldn't mind another exclusive for its handheld.
