Rayman Origins was critically acclaimed, but its co-op options suffered from a lack of choice. Two nearly identical players made up the third and fourth spots, and nary a female was among them. We think. To be honest it's hard to tell what gender these things are. But Ubisoft is addressing both of those problems in Rayman Legends with a newly revealed character.

A new trailer in preparation for Gamescom next week reveals Barbara, a feisty and very possibly insane redhead brandishing a giant axe. Ubisoft notes that the co-op has been upgraded to five characters, so Barbara may represent an addition instead of a swap-out. Check out the trailer below to see her slicing and dicing.
