Code of Princess confirmed for North America

Having celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee only yesterday here in England, Atlus's announcement that it's bringing "action-RPG brawler" Code of Princess westward for Nintendo 3DS leaves me feeling a little short-changed. Rather than simulating standing po-faced on a boat whilst waving, CoP offers side-scroller beat 'em up shenanigans. Our monarchy is rubbish.
On top of the punchy punch-punch fun, Code of Princess has RPG-like character development and customization. Then there's four-player local and online multiplayer, with cooperative and competitive modes--neither of which are on the feature list of HRH Princess Michael of Kent.
"Developed by an all-star team of industry veterans, Code of Princess is unlike anything else available for Nintendo 3DS," Atlus VP of sales & marketing Tim Pivnicny said in the announcement.
"Fans of action will savor the game's combat, which is loaded with satisfying chain attacks and plenty of depth-both in terms of attack options and also quite literally in the sense that battlefields employ a three-railed design, letting players move forward and back as tactics dictate. Fans of RPGs will relish the ability to level and improve their characters, converting their gained experience into boosts for the stats that best suit their play style and tactics."
Developed by Agatsuma, Code of Princess is arriving in North America this fall. Pre-ordering will get you a bonus art book and soundtrack too.
