Last summer, Bungie began the monumental task of transferring all its data management on the Halo series over to new developer 343 Industries. That process is finally complete, but in one last tribute to the franchise, Bungie unveiled a massive graphic of multiplayer statistics showing just how much data had been stored, and how popular the games were.
In all, players spent more than 85 million days playing Halo (or more than 2 billion hours), the graphic says. Weapon kills for Halo 3, Halo: ODST and Halo: Reach totaled more than 108.5 billion, or more than the number of humans that ever lived on Earth. There have been more than 350 million multiplayer games and more than 11.5 trillion points awarded.
There are lots of other staggering numbers to parse through. Bungie will continue to keep the historical data on its servers, even as it moves on to its next franchise with Activision.
