Frictional Games may have helped out on spooky sequel Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs but thechineseroom did the bulk of development, so what has the series' creator been up to these past few years? Today it released a live-action trailer teasing its next project, which appears to be an unsettling and unpleasant sci-fi game named Soma. And it'll be on some manner of PlayStation. Read more

The roguelike-like top-down shooter Vlambeer announced in August as Wasteland Kings has received a new name, Nuclear Throne, lest anyone think it somehow related to Wasteland 2. When the first crowdfunding campaign for Shadow of the Eternals failed to rouse interest, developer Precursor Games scrapped it and launched a second two months later. After that also failed, well, Precursor is finally giving up on the spiritual sequel to Eternal Darkness. Or, in its words, putting the game "on hold" and disbanding until "when and if the time is right." Read more
