Halloween has always been a merry time in Guild Wars, with the Mad King Thorn visiting the capital cities of Tyria to dole out tricks and treats. It seems he'll be returning in Guild Wars 2 as part of "the first major game release" for ArenaNet's subscription-free MMORPG, which shall also bring paid PvP tournaments and gobs of new stuff to see, do and kill. Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager recently raged against being forced to include multiplayer in its single-player-focused game, received with whoops and cheers by the peanut gallery. If only more games could go undiluted! Huzzah, then, that Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games has dropped plans for adding multiplayer to Metro 2033's sequel, choosing instead to focus its resources on the single-player campaign.
