With three days and an awful lot of money left to go, Peter Molyneux and 22cans' crowd-funding campaign for a new god game codenamed Project Godus is looking unlikely to end happily. In the hope of raising interest and that final £80,000 ($130,000-ish), 22cans has put out a trailer with gameplay footage from its early, early prototype. Read more

The Black Mesa mod is a remarkable accomplishment, remaking Half-Life in the Source engine, and now a mapper building upon their work has remade another slice of Valve history. Black Mesa: Uplink remakes HL's classic Uplink demo, which curiously for a demo was a new slice based upon levels cut from the game during development. And now that's available in shiny Source-o-vision. Read more

The Humble THQ Bundle may have raked in more money than almost another other Humble Bundle, but not everyone was thrilled with Humble's first AAA bundle. It was Windows-only, lacking the customary Mac and Linux versions, and also busted the 'no DRM' rule with Steamworks games. Pleasingly, counting the money isn't the only action THQ is taking after that, as the publisher's now looking at making Linux editions of games. Read more
