Obsidian and inXile are awfully chummy, with a shared history going back to Interplay and Black Isle Studios and close enough that they want to lend members like a cup of sugar. Both Californian studios are making crowdfunded Unity-based old-school RPGs too, and so are putting their heads together. inXile today announced that they'll be collaborating on tools and tech with each other. Larian Studios announced Divinity: Original Sin in May 2012, and there was much rejoicing. Almost a year later, and after two years of actual development, it's shuffling back a little sheepishly to ask if maybe we could help pay for it. Larian wants $400,000 to apply a bold spit-shine to the RPG prequel, and is hoping we can crowdfund it. Read more

Internet detectives have blown the cover of a teaser campaign Telltale Games started this week. No, not for the Fables game--that was officially announced today as The Wolf Among Us. This mystery game has been unmasked as a sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory, and this time Ash from The Evil Dead, Borderlands' Claptrap, and Brock Samson of The Venture Bros. are joining the table. Over two years after Telltale announced an episodic adaptation of the comic book series Fables, and a year after it was initially slated to launch, the Walking Dead maker today revealed it's coming this summer for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Named The Wolf Among Us, it's set before the comic kicked off and stars Bigby, the Big Bad Wolf himself. Read more
