So many fine-looking indie games pop up at games events but never get proper releases, leaving most of us gazing admiringly at photos and YouTube videos. Scratch one from your list of cool event-only games, as Robin Arnott has released Deep Sea, an audio-only sensory deprivation game which has you wear a blacked-out gas mask. Runic yesterday launched the official Torchlight 2 editor 'GUTS', which it says lets people "modify almost everything" in the action-RPG, "from item and skill balance, to level layouts, animations, quests, and much more." Delightful murder simulator Hotline Miami was never supposed to receive a sequel, so we should be jolly grateful that its planned DLC ended up morphing into one. But after that, developer Dennaton Games says, that's it. No more. It'll bow out murdering men in the early nineties then after that, you'll need to satisfy any head-stomping urges yourself. Obsidian and inXile are awfully chummy, with a shared history going back to Interplay and Black Isle Studios and close enough that they want to lend members like a cup of sugar. Both Californian studios are making crowdfunded Unity-based old-school RPGs too, and so are putting their heads together. inXile today announced that they'll be collaborating on tools and tech with each other.
