Capcom is treating nostalgianoids to a double-bill of ye olde fightinge games next month, announcing today that Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will arrive for download on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 25 and 26 respectively. $15 will get you tarted-up versions of the classic Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, which seems fair for an afternoon of reliving your youth before the terrible realisation that you are so very old sinks in. The "season of content" for Modern Warfare 3 is about to end--just in time for the release of Black Ops 2, of course. Activision has released a new trailer, showing off the game's final maps. Read more

Killing people is pretty important in Assassin's Creed III, it turns out, so Ubisoft has put a lot of work into the open-world murder simulator's killification. A new video developer diary features chaps from the fields of game design, animator, fight choreography, history, and, ah, military re-enactment all talking about killing those blasted lobsterbacks in the American Revolution. Whore of the Orient, the next title from the director behind L.A. Noire, will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. A first image from the game was also revealed. Read more

Deathmatch is about the least interesting of all competitive multiplayer modes Aliens: Colonial Marines could offer, yet the first revealed. It's nice, then, that Gearbox and Sega today announced the objective-driven 'Escape.' The 4v4 mode sees marines fleeing various bad places, while the aliens try to scupper their plans. Yes, like Left 4 Dead's Versus mode. Read more

Avi Arad, who's produced every Marvel comic book movie of the past two decades--both good and bad--is attached, and quite enthusiastic. Read more
