One of the breakout TV shows of last fall's season, Lost mixes suspense and action with a thrilling sci-fi twist. In this two-part pilot episode that started it all, a jetliner en route from Australia to Los Angeles crashes on a remote tropical island, leaving 48 survivors without much hope of rescue. The 14 characters that make up the ensemble cast to learn how to survive in this strange paradise. But everything may not be as it first seemed, when a large mysterious creature is discovered on the island, and evidence is discovered that the plane crash may not have been an accident at all. The characters begin to make enemies and form alliances, while they deal with their individual pasts and the memories of lives they left behind.
