A paramilitary force has taken over a multi-billion-dolllar aerospace compound. Hostages have been taken. But no demands are made. The government counters with its best special ops team. They're obliterated. Live footage of the massacre is cut off by a stunning wave of destruction. Military leaders are paralyzed by disbelief. That's where F.E.A.R. begins. And it doesn't get much better in this first-person shooter game. You're a soldier up against tactical teams, trained assassins, and heavy-armor-led squads. You'll use state-of-the-art weaponry in never-before-seen spectacular situations (ever had to survive a helicopter crash, then blast your way out?), where you'll watch enemies recoil and collapse in raw combat.

Great game, exceeded my expectations by far. very quick learning curve, good placement of controls. There are times I would be sitting alone in the dark playing, and I would be scared to the point of jumping out of my seat, and screaming like a little school girl with a skinned knee.
