In 2077, the global atomic war left the U.S. all but destroyed. A small band of survivors now lives in Vault 101, a Vault-Tec engineered safe haven in the remnants of Washington D.C., now known as Capital Wasteland. Giant insects, raiders, slavers, and super mutants roam the world outside, but leave the residents of Vault 101 alone. But when you wake one morning to find your father gone, you must brave the real world for the first time. Create a unique character with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. character system, then choose how you act, which affects the world around you. You can even choose between first- and third-person views!

From the get go, Fallout 3 is about as in-depth as one can get. Your character creation can easily take up half an hour of your time. From there, you work your way through childhood and eventually leave the vault and begin exploration of a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. The main quest is ...All User Reviews
