GTA4. Saints row 2 really went the way of making it feel like a parody of GTA4 rather than a competitor.

Though neither are brilliant it's Saints Row 2 for me, at least I managed to complete it before thinking that there's no point in continuing. GTA IV has very strong characters and atmosphere but the missions themselves are underwhelming. GTA IV is an example of this idea of a sandbox being a pile of nonsense - mucking around with a few items in a physics-enabled environment is not a long-term gameplan, there has to be some goals written into it as well or it's pointless.

Saint's Row 2. More time at actual gameplay, less time screwing around with "relationship management." Especially when you are just driving around goofing off.

GTA IV because it has better graphics, feels more realistic and story is much better.

Grand Theft Auto IV is the clear winner. The story is so much better and is actually fun to do. GTA IV has way better graphics. Saints Row 2 had really good coop, but it seamed like it wasnt emphisized completely and isnt finished. Grand Theft Auto IV also had the Lost and Damned and the next one whenever it comes out. Grand Theft Auto IV was taken seriously and Saints Row 2 was just thought as a joke.

GTA IV. No contest here. Just such a rich detailed game that nothing can really compare to it.
