So sick of all the hype surrounding these simple games with no plot I mean if you played marvel 1@2 it's the same thing right besides different characters right????

Good games don't need a good story to back it up. While story helps, it's not imperative that it be in EVERY GAME.
There are a lot of great games with little to no plot: Bejeweled, Tetris, Checkers, Chess, Peggle, even Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Don't knock the fighting games, it has a very solid foothold on modern gaming and MvC is one of the funner ones in terms of gameplay.
