Another way to word this is Do the zombies respawn? Or if you just stay outside for a long time and kill the zombies, will they all eventually die?

I agree with Trans. I had the first Dead Rising and I tried to kill all the zombies in one area, but couldn't. THEY JUST KEEP COMING!!!!!

They do respawn. If you hit a load screen, they'll all respawn at once. Though if you spend too long in one area, they'll start to slowly respawn further away from you in places that aren't currently in view.

on a personal, bragging note. in the 1st Dead Rising, my roommate and I where able to get just over 100K kills in one game..
granted, we didn't complete the story that play through, but we killed over 100K freaking zomibes!!. that is DOUBLE the population of the town in the game. lol
