An example is the new Call of Duty: Black Ops. There will be a training mode where you can play against bots in preparation to play against people online. Is this a feature you would use?

If they're doing their job, then I'm ok with it. If I have a bot teammate and it constantly runs into walls, forget it.

I actually like bots a lot. In Gears of War 2, all i did involving multiplayer was against bots. I suck at Gears multiplayer, but i'm good against the bots, so it think it's good.
Esepecially if there is a beginner mode for people who just started playing Call of Duty. I also hope there are some really hard bots for the hardcore players.

its ok for me as they have an intelligent ai like human players are playing im ok with it but in cs 1.6 all bots are dumb
