Why are guards always after me in Assassin's Creed II?

I think I broke one tiny law at the start of game...now I'm on memory 5 and have broken NO more laws, but don't see a bounty on me or even how to get rid of 1 if there was...I saw the taking posters down & paying off those...guys that shout news lol ;)...but...I mean, how does this all work please? That's what I want to know. Thanks for any help guys!

  1. i am not sure what your situation exactly is but i believe that you just might be trespassing onto they're territory or getting to close to the chests, sorry if this didn't help
