you have to buy the updates is all. Sucks I know. but each of the mappacks contains another zombie level =/

Unfortunately...only one of them comes with the game. The rest of them you have to buy for about $10 each, and there are three map packs.

Well, you get the first one by beating the campaign. But to get the next three, you have to buy them.
You can buy each map pack individually for $10 each (800 MS Points). Or you can buy the bundle for $30 (2400 MS Points).
