PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII outsells 360 version 2:1. Did you expect this to happen?

I guess 2:1 is a lot, so are we taking US sales or Worldwide? If it's US sales then I'm kind of surprised, but if it's Worldwide then I'm not, because the game remained PS3 exclusive in Asian countries. Most people I know talked about buying the game for the PS3, even when they already owned an Xbox. For people who own both consoles, the only reason to buy the Xbox version would be for the achievements, but that seems like kind of an insignificant reason. But then again, I know if I was going to chose, I'd pick the PS3 version simply because of the quality, less discs and even the familiar controller- reasons that also might seem small to others. People choosing the PS3 version because of nostalgia/home console makes sense, as well.

Yes, I did expect this to happen. I think part of what plays into that is nostalgia. I know that when I think of Final Fantasy, I think Playstation (and yes, I know it started on Nintendo, but the first one I ever played was FF VII) The other part of it is that graphically, the PS3 version is superior to the 360, and people want that. I personally don't care, but it irks me a little bit to hear fanboys complain that the PS3 version was cut down so that it can fit dvd 9 and how this is a travesty. All I have to say is, thank god I don't have to travel the world and re-visit the same village 75 times. It's monotonous. Now I'm off topic, but yes I did think the PS3 version would outsell the 360, and 2:1 is not that surprising.

Yeah, Final Fantasy and Playstation go hand-in-hand. For the type of people that would play FFXIII, I would expect more to play it on the PS3 (because the graphics are a bit better).

I didn't expect it to dominate it, but i did expect playstation to get more sales. 2:1 is quite a bit and i really didn't see that coming. But Final Fantasy has always been a Playstation game, so it was bound to end up like that.
