Someone mentioned it a while back, and I haven't come across it yet. Where on the map should I look to find the island?

It's the huge island in the upper-left corner of the map. There are no mission icons there, but there are some LOST easter eggs, strange tower structures, some bad guys and even some collectible weapon and vehicle parts.
SPOLILER: The LOST plane wreck is on the beach on the southwest part of the island.
