According to this page http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/wifievents.shtml there are some events, but most of them are in Japan and don't have US (or any other country) dates, and it's doubtful they ever will... The only US "events" that I know of so far is the "Pika-Pichu" and Jirachi from GameStop. Both have already expired. I really hope there will be more events, though.
