i put it in i hit start and ive been sitting here for an hour 30 waiting it just keeps saying the tips and spinning the little icon things on there around

check the outskirts and inner most parts on the disk, if there is a large ring around them, then the game is "fried".

Try to install it to your hard drive. I don't know if this will work but it might help.
