The Wii U will be a next Gen system

According to reports, it is by technical means "next-gen". It is said and assured by many who know the hardware that while it will be overshadowed inevitably, the Wii U will still be strong enough to compete with the competitors of the next gen. At least that's what I've heard.

It is actually proven that the system's graphics are more advanced than that of 360 and PS3, so it not a current gen system by any means.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you on this. While it is good that they did do some upgrading to their hardware, it's not enough and too late to really effect the market. Maybe (and hopefully) the tablet will prove to be effective, because otherwise Nintendo could be along their way to bankruptcy.

Eventhough I think the Wii U will likely be underpowered for the next line of consoles, I do hope Nintendo fights through. They are honestly pretty deep in financial loses from the Wii's bad software sales and I wouldn't like to see them drop off. Nintendo has got to get more software sales, but they also need to embrace their tablet (and find ways to make it useful instead of being a paper weight).
