I am having troubles finishing quests. after retrieving needed items when I go back to the character I try to give them the item and they wont accept it. Also stuck in the companion main quest cause character wont talk to me.

Q: Issues turning in an item/object to complete a quest because the item was found prior to getting the quest.
A: Sometimes you may end up in a situation where you find an item or object and then later receive a quest to find it. In order to complete these quests you will have to revert to an earlier save before finding the item initially and get the quest before picking it up or activating it.
