I want to use a different credit card to pay my membership. But if I switched credit cards would my membership switch to the other, and automatically charge it?

You can easily update your credit card information at anytime in the My Account section. Changing your card will not affect your membership status or billing date.
Your new card will have a temporary hold of $1.00 placed on it just to check that it is active. That temporary hold will be released in 3-5 days depending on your bank's policies.
