I bet people actually pre-order games like that just for the Beta. It's like they're baiting you with a beta just to get you to pre-order it. Betas should always be free point blank :/

We do not need a BF4 right now. It's too soon. We don't want another COD yearly release. I'm sorry to say BF3 is probably going to be my last EA game. Unless management changes.

I saw that as well. My guess is that EA/Dice is trying to rectify the complaints that BF3 had to make it more competitive with the Call of Duty Series.
