In Dante's Inferno, how much variation is there in the enemies you fight?

So far i have fought mostly zombies...are they going to be the main enemies through out the whole game?

After the first or second layer of hell the enemies start to vary more. You still see the guys from the beginning, but you will fight multiple types of enemies in any given fight so it doesn't get old.
