Yes. What you need to do is conquer the castle's/major citys. Then your faction leader will determine who he gives the town's, castle, ect to. You can talk to the other other members in your nation to try to convince them to "vote" for you. (there is not actual vote, the province will be given after a day or so after conquering the area)
