I used to love the Sonic games back when they were in 2D and on the Genesis. After that not so much. So since they're going back and making a proper sequel that builds off of Sonic 3, I'm happy. I'm just confused as to why they're going with episodic releases, rather than just making a stand alone game.

It could be pretty sweet. I really enjoyed the Sonic series back in the day but sometimes the just lose there luster in today's gaming. I'll have to give it a shot at least.
