Wait, who "granted" you 48 hour online pass?
Also, you're supposed to buy the online pass (either with the game or through the online store). Sorry, membership doesn't have THAT privilege.

i don't know who or what granted you a pass but i just sent BF3 back to gf and i saw no such thing, the only thing i saw was the pay 800 points (10 bucks) and buy the pass.

XBL has 48 hour online gold passes they give sometimes so you can try playing online. Not sure if that's what you mean since you say its for PS3, but if that is what you are referring to then you would still need to buy the online pass for 800 MS points even if you have the 48 hour gold trial.
