GTA (V) is an open world adventure sandbox shooter rpg..etc game. You can do races as a side mission in the game so technically it can be a racing game in some way.

  1. No its not a racing game, but you can race in it, there are racing game modes in multiplayer and in the free mode multiplayer game mode you can do whatever you want so you and your friends can race if you want.
