No, you cannot play 3DS games on a regular DS. One of the main reasons is that the 3DS chip has a bump on it that doesn't fit in the DS.

no, you cannot. the 2d option is only on 3ds. sorry. P.S. the graphics are waaay too good anyway for ds lite. P.P.S. you can't play on dsi either

No. 3DS games only play on the 3DS. They aren't compatible with older DS models.
