Well, I think they tried doing Vietnam in Black Ops (right? I haven't actually played that one). But I see what you're saying. I think the problem is the engine and assets they have now really works for weaponry from WWII on. It would probably be hard to make a fast paced Revolutionary War game if it takes 30 seconds to reload after every shot. They'd probably have to start from scratch if they wanted to make a game prior to the world wars, which the way the current games sell, there's really no incentive for them to do so.

I could see where your frusterated with WWII and Modern Warfare. But i doubt IW and Treyarch will make your wanna be 300 dreams come true. Call of duty is all about shooting. Your not going to be satisfied with any french and indian war or the revolutionary war because there was like only 1 or 2 different guns. Call of duty is no all about customization of your weapon and how are you going to customize 2 weapons. So I wouldnt get your hopes up.

I'm not sure if I'm correct about this but doesn't MW3 take place in a World War III scenario? I might be wrong though considering I'm not big on COD. But I see what you're saying. The reason it's always the WWII story is because it's a popular one. Many of us know that story so that's why it sells. However, it would be interesting if they stepped out of the same boundary. Maybe a WWI or Civil War story could work.

There have been rumors that the next Call of Duty would be set sometime in the future (near or far) and Sledgehammer was developing a 3rd-Person Call of Duty, but i believe they already gave that up.

NEVER!!!! call of duty will never change theyr' to stubborn, all they will ever make is WW2 and MW but if they do i would like to see something more realistic NOT like a micheal bay movie.

With the current copy of MW3, they already sold millions of copies plus DLC. It's the money stream still. I am not sure why they have to make different COD.

i beat Modern Warfare 3 and i think that it was the last modern warfare because of the way it ended so if they wanna keep the Call of Duty franchise going then there has to be a new story. i just hope they dont rush it. but i dont think their even talkin about starting on making a new one right now though. hope i helped

CODMW3 hit 1 Billion in less then 2 weeks! The game creators are thinking "We just added a few weapons, a couple of different maps...". They are never going to "make a different COD". Btw shouldn't Capt. Price be dead already?

Call of Duty/Modern Warfare is one of them titles.... They have refined so much, that its really hard for them to place new direction. Seeing they placed a simple zombies mini-game and it went full blown... With more add-ons(just for the zombies) than the initial game. I think Call of Duty is pretty lame though... If they going to put realism into a game... They should make the game world more vast... Oh thats right and theres Battlefield for that.
