Well while he is recharging with one of those generators, run to one of the other ones (best bet is to get between the two yellow pylons on it) and use a quick radial attack (I used Luke Cage's "Ground Pummel" at the time) to turn them red. Then quickly run to the other generator that he's not using and do the same to those two yellow pylons. Once you've done that, you'll interrupt his recharge and be able to continue fighting him.

Also just in case you or anyone else that may see this has any energy attack users (like I had Gambit on my team at first) then take switch them out with a melee fighter because he is entirely immune to energy attacks. He somewhat resists elemental as well so I would also avoid using people like Human Torch, Iceman, and Storm just to speed things up a bit.
