Q: What should I get it on: the PS3 or the PC?

What should I get it on: the PS3 or the PC?

I'm going to be buying Skyrim soon(OMFG less then 10 days), but I'm at a debate on whether to buy it for the PC or the PS3. I understand that PC has mods(which I know literally nothing about), but my GeForce 210 graphics card probably won't run on the recommended settings.
I'm already short on cash as it is, so I'm not looking to buy a new graphics card any time soon.

On the PS3 side is the fact that it still has great graphics and the fact that I know much more about it than the PC. Plus my TV is much larger than my monitor...

So which platform should I get it on? P.S. Do not make this a flame war about which one is better.

I don't think your PC is really up to par with what will give you the best gaming experience for Skyrim. Plus unless you have a huge monitor even if you do have the PC hardware you aren't going to run it at a resolution that matters on a HDTV. Yes the PC will get faster patches and a modding community. But you also have to play on a smaller screen and not as comfortably as you would on a HDTV setup with the PS3.

Based on how I like to game I would recommend the PS3 version. The long gaming sessions mean being comfortable matters. Bethesda is supporting the PS3 version this time so you should get patches as needed. Plus the system will run it to spec, its a drop in the bucket rather your PC will run Skyrim well from day one. Sitting on a couch or recliner relaxed with a controller in hand just sounds more relaxing than hunched over a KB/Mouse for long periods of time.

I think you should get it on ps3. Because of what you said with your T.V and great graphics then it should look amazing on the ps3! Why not PC? One word... LAG!!!!!!

hmm since you mentioned how your computer runs i probaly would get it on ps3 but i know for a fact im getting it on the computer i think there will be a lot more people playing it and it will probably be very fun even though its not on a console

You have a decent graphics card, even if it is a bargin bin one. If your using windows 7 there are a few things you can do to boost the power output which would make it run better, not prettier but better. Other than that if you have a dual or quad core with 2.0 GHz you should be fine to play it on PC.
I always recomend PC games for serious gamers especially games like Skyrim. Console gamers don't know what they miss in mods and tweaking.

PC specs for Skyrim are min for a high low/med decent gaming PC, since all you informed us was the graphics card, I would go with the PS3. Long gaming hours(not sure about you, for me tho) I am going comfortable. Now if your specs are decent, the mods and the graphics are truly going to be remarkable with the PC, either way just make sure you have more than the specs for the PC cause if you dont, your not going to truly feel the detail of the game... hope this semi-helps
