Getting experience. So unless you can solve a Riddler trophy, destroy the balloons, destroy the teeth or any other method of getting EXP you will have to fight enemies and be really careful. Countering is the most important tool in the fighting. NEVER ignore it. Trust me, I'm playing in hard and have gotten my ass kicked a couple of times by ignoring countering to try and get the combo meter up.
