Is Nintendo ever going to make a legitimate gaming platform other than ones based on novelty tricks?

I mean come on; even the Nintendo fanboys have to admit they've been slacking off ever since the Nintendo 64, they never include basic features that other systems have (here's a thought, include a DVD player?), they always have the worse graphics, and just look at the Wii games.
"Jenga"? Are you f#$%ing serious? A GAME BASED ON JENGA!

Anyways yeah... you think they're ever going to make a legitimate gaming system?

This is one of those "I'm stating my opinion, but don't really know what's going on" kind of questions.

It's pretty obvious your idea of "legitimate" is based on what you think a gaming console should be. Little do you know that these "novelty tricks" Nintendo has been bringing in have been followed by your "legitimate" gaming consoles...M$'s Natal...Sony's Motion Control...the return of the Analog Stick...rumble controllers...I can go on...all "novelty tricks" that Nintendo brought in. J Allard is even working on a machine that looks like an oversized Nintendo DS.

Oh, of course "legitimate" has nothing to do with sales. Nintendo has dominated console sales for years now and has tapped into a market that's pretty much "everyone that's not male 15-35". I'd say that's pretty "legitimate".

I can go on about graphics, but I've proved my point.

I'm no Nintendo fan by any means (I don't even have a Wii), but the fact is you're just completely ignorant about what's going on around you.

I kind of feel you're pain there buddy. But, you should look outside of you're own box.
The argument for "JENGA?!?" applies to the PS3 and 360 as well, we can go "HASBRO FAMILY NIGHT!?" because that was released on all 3.
The DVD player thing is played out, really... do you need 5 DVD players?. No, DVD is a standard now, meaning if you haven't got one already and you're wanting your next console to have one, you've a little backwards on priorities.
Also, sitting back and saying "Just look at the Wii Games" is kindof ignorant, While, yes, there is alot of crap. There are A LOT of gems too. Madworld, House of the Dead: OVerkill, Dead Space Extraction, Deadly Creatures, Tenchu Assassins isn't bad. Many of these games also fall outside of the "worst graphics!" argument too. Dead Space Extraction is really good looking.
I will give you the Worst grahpics thing though. because that really is a weakness in the system. The rest is no fault of the system. and a couple are you're fault =p
