This is a sequel to call of duty Modern warfare 2 which is made by infinity ward. call of duty blackops is made by Treyarch so the answer is yes to new weapons and it is call of duty so it will have that feel but much more like MW2 I also suggest getting it for Xbox 360 or PS3 not wii.
