ODST is definitely NOT taking home this title. That's tough, because I was holding out hope, Microsoft dropped the ball on Bungie, they should have let them go with it as DLC.

I have been checking the videos and coverage for Modern Warfare 2 and it looks like everything a COD fan would imagine in their wettest of dreams. I think they did well to keep the structure intact and just blow every feature off the hinges.
I wouldn't really put Borderlands into this arguement as I don't see a straight FPS shooter fan really having the patience to sit through the definite RPG framework that Borderlands is built around.

Even though I really enjoyed Halo 3: ODST, It is not the Best FPS, I think out of your choices, It's going to be Modern Warfare 2, but my Personal choice would be Borderlands.

It's kinda unfair that you have 2 sequel titles (which are pretty much 'more of the same' games) and one original IP for this comparison.

Personally.. although MW2 looks pretty slick, and Infinity Ward is a great developer,.. and ODST looks good (haven't played yet.)

I'm looking more forward to Borderlands. they are attempting some very interesting stuff with that.

But, no, in terms of sales, MW2 will win.... duh. doesn't mean it will be the best though.

As far as a pure FPS experience goes, I think MW2 will be the best in the traditional sense. But Borderlands definitely has the potential to be the better game with its mix of RPG elements.
