Leonardos bench is unlocked after you do the first Leo mission. If you look at your map carefully enough, you'll find little squares with an L, symbolizing a shop where you can purchase equipment from Leo. Try fiddling around with filters on your map until you can find them.

after the first leonardo machine mission, a L symbol will appear on your map. you may purchase upgrades such as the climbing glove, double hidden blades, and poison blades, etc.
