This is a simple question. What is the best gun that was ever made for a video game. However this question is not limited to just guns you can include magical abilities and melee weapons too. Personally I think the BFG 9000 from the Doom series is the best gun ever made in a video game.

The R.Y.N.O. from ratchet and clank series is the most awesome gun I ever fired. It has had several adaptations in different games, but was always some sort of crazy multimissle launcher. Very fun to use and almost criminally easy to keep up with ammo the real challenge was getting the gun, but the payoff was there.
How can anyone compete with a gun called Rip You a New One (R.Y.N.O.)
