Why you think Warhammer 40k and Dead Island was shipped earlier?

Well Warhammer 40k Space Marine was shipped to me today, and also Dead Island is shipped to the people who had it on their GameQ, I really don't understand, Driver San Fransisco and Resistance 3 was also suppose to release on the same day.

Personally I think there were too many games coming out at the same day so Gamefly decided to ship some games earlier.

So, what's your opinion?

Actually most games are shipped to retailers and rental buisnesses a week before release.mostly because many big box stores(bestbuy,gamestop,etc.)have to distribute copies to all their locations.and for buisnesses that sell through mail order(or rent),they will ship a few days early.So customers can receive their games by the release date.and sometimes the games will arrive to the customer earlier then release.Usually no more then 3 days early,though its not unheard of for ppl to get them a week in advance.But thats rare as a retailer could get in trouble with a publisher if they break street date by more then 3 days.

  1. yeah i was wondering the same thing because i bought it from gamestop and it says the game comes out the 6th but gamfly says 3rd...but im guessing its just the reason you put.

    1. Actually I was thinking they sent it Saturday because the USPS doesn't ship on Sundays and Monday is a holiday so they sent it one day early so you could get it on the time you usually do. For me it would be Wednesday since it takes two days to get here.
