just buy 2 so u can start a collect of them cuz they all r bada$$ i think cuz 3 dont come out for other month or 2 i think

I'd say to maybe rent the first and second if you haven't played the single player. But as far as the multiplayer goes you might as well just keep playing Black Ops at this point until MW3 comes out.

You should get the first Modern Warfare because there is a story behind all the shooting. You won't understand the second or third one if you don't play the first.

Also, I don't think Black Ops has anything to do with the Modern Warfare series.

save you cash, the plain and simple fact is MW as a series just keeps adding a few different features every title, if you own black ops then i would suggest playing that till mw3 is released and the b.o. dedicated servers are null,mw2 was a great game but it seems like a step backwards to buy the older version ,wait for mw3.
