MY 360 JUST GOT THE RROD FOR THE 6TH TIME! and my slim has gotten it 3 times. 360 = trash.

Whats funny, is I've had an arcade since it came out, and still no RROD. I dont use it as much anymore, but it still works for when I have my younger siblings over to play their children games.

I had my original model 360 for two years before it got the RROD. I still had the warranty it came with luckily and got it fixed for free. I've had my xbox 1 1/2 years since I got it fixed and it hasn't happened again. Maybe you have bad luck?

Thanks for sharing. You must really be bad with your 360 if it has gotten RROD 6 times. I have only gotten it once, but that was my own stupidity. Maybe you just have bad luck with gaming consoles.

I bought mine like 3 months after it was on shelfs sent it in becuase it got the red ring and got 1 month of live and i still have it works just fine but i did just buy the new s model few weeks ago and old one i played at least 6 hour a day.

Get a ps3. The only time mine as frozen up on me is because I was using the internet browser, which can bog up the system alot, so I just dont use it.

You probably won't like what I say so sorry in advance.
But what on earth would ever possess you to buy a slim 360 when your phat version would have RRoD many times before you got it. I really don't understand why you would invest more money in a platform performing that bad for you to begin with? What did the 360 have that you felt compelled to go through all this trouble to begin with.
I bought a launch 360 in april of 06, the thing RRoD for me 3 days later while playing oblivion, took it back got another one it RRoD the next day. I took that back got my money back and didn't put a single penny into it until there were positive reviews out of re-visioned hardware that stopped most the RRoD issues, and even then I only bought a new system on a huge discount, and it didn't RRoD on me.
So what I am really getting at is I hope in the future for your own sanity, you think twice about what you buy, its people who do this why the 360 was crap when it launched to begin with.

lol thats sucks, that why never bought a 360. i'll stick to my ps3 that i can play and not worry about it breaking like that and that many times.if you do come to the ps3 let me know what games you like, i might play with you. I've lost 1 xbox 360 pro, (was 299 at the time i bought it? no tax etc). And lost my 160 gb PS3 to yellow light of death.. 599 or 499? Cant remember.. Then lost a 80gb i bought for 250..So for me it's Microsoft. But it's different for everyone..

really all you should do is get the big gray box connected to the xbox 360 then you unplug that and then plug it in then it should work fine.
