no you have to go to gamestop and pay 5$ for an online pass you cant get it for free its to encourage gamers to buy he game lol as of 2012 all of ea's games will require an online pass

It is a rental, any and all rentals will require you to purchase one, unless you happen to receive the first time use of the game unopened with a pass inside.

The online pass is supposed to deter the renter from renting and actually contribute money to a place that will actually make more games.

The only way to get any online pass for free is to buy the game new or buy the game used from gamefly which comes with the code.
Online pass is to hurt used game sales and rented copy demand. Publishers won't do anything to make it easier for you.
