Red Dead Redemption. GTA4 is by all means a fantastic title, as Assassin's Creed, though Red Ded Redemption is an overall greater experience in every perspective. It has a vast, open, detailed, living world set in western America, While Assassin's Creed's world feels rather scripted and bland after only an hour or so in. GTA has the same feel as Red Ded Redemption, though much less intense. The world feels like a giant comedy, the driving controls are almost too loose, and the story just isn't as gripping. RDR has a great single player, multiplayer, visuals, replay value, and DLC. The other two choices just don't hit that level of greatness, not to say they are bad titles, but simply not as good.

Assassins Creed is the best of the three.
Although all three games are very well done and should be played by anyone interested in open world games, GTA and RDR are just that open world games. RDR kind of does this but not as good as Assassin's Creed which is put you into the role of the character.
When I think of the character you play in all three of the titles, John Marsh and Neco Belik both could be replaced by any other generic character and you could pull off the game. I am not saying the game would be as good but it would still be servicable. This is mostly due to the generic take on basic gameplay.
With Assassin's Creed you will find out its hard to be a good assassin. It takes more complex thinking to take down your target in just the right way to avoid trouble. On top of that the way you move and abilities like eagle vision really allow you to see and interact with the world like an assassin would in that time period. AC puts you into a role that requires growth to master.

Assasins Creed is a must play BUT it is not worth buying because when you finish campaign you won't play it for another week while RDR and GTA have way better multiplayer and overall playability...
